  1. Deet sprayed directly in the eyes and mouth sucks. A lot. Your eyes will burn and your mouth will go numb. Trust me.

  2. Cotton socks are the devil (they cause blisters, something I’d attributed to my orthotics before. I invested in a pair of these socks before I left Squamish)

  3. Dehydrated eggs are never any good, regardless of how well they score on MEC’s webste. They’re made worse by dehydrated cheese that failed to rehydrate.

More on the trip later, and I will include photos.

Right now I’m nursing three blisters :(
